Tolentino and surroundings

The city of Tolentino is located on a valley a few kilometers and halfway from the sea and the Sibillini mountains. The heart of the city consists of the square with the clock tower, the alleys of the historic center, the Basilica of San Nicola, the Cathedral of San Catervo, the International Museum of Biumor Caricature, the Napoleonic Halls of Palazzo Parisani-Bezzi, the Castle della Rancia, the Terme di S. Lucia, the Vaccaj Theatre, the Fiastra Abbey, immersed in a nature reserve, a route dotted with ancient buildings, churches and museums. The Basilica of San Nicola contains one of the wonders of Tolentino: the famous cycle of frescoes in the chapel, where the life of the Saint is narrated. The work of the Giotto school has recently been attributed to the master Pietro da Rimini and his collaborators. http://turismo.comune.tolentino.mc.it/ There are works of art “considered minor” that are worth a trip, to which it is worth dedicating a weekend for a visit. One of these is certainly the Basilica of San Nicola di Tolentino: a treasure chest of rare beauty hidden in a valley among our hills that I strongly recommend you visit if you want to spend half a day of “wise” tourism in the Marche.

There is something in the spa that smacks of history: that smacks of these rolling hills and its ancient inhabitants who drew health and natural cures from the waters that flowed from springs known by popular tradition. Hospitable spas for everyone and reachable from all over the surrounding area. Suburban spas, perhaps, but advanced spas which, from a distinctly sanitary choice in the treatment of respiratory tract diseases, so widespread in our society, have been able to broaden the range of their services, touching on all sectors of physical well-being and involving all age groups of the healthcare population. Spas of well-being, as taught by the Romans, convinced supporters of their beneficial effects. Ancient spas, due to their tradition, but modern spas included in the widespread Italian circuit where the spas constitute an important and widespread healthcare network. Organized spas, full of up-to-date equipment and instruments, equipped with a rich multidisciplinary medical team, capable of providing in-depth data and modern studies of extreme usefulness for undertaking epidemiological and preventive medicine research.
